Double Olympic gold medallist Yohan Blake, who had won a gold medal in 2011 World Championship and also a silver at the 2012 London Olympics, admires the all-format Indian Captain Virat Kohli for not offering any excuses when his team does not perform well and taking the blame on himself.
While praising the Indian Captain, the star Jamaican sprinter, Yohan Blake said in his video uploaded on his social media accounts that “What I really love about Team India is that Virat Kohli doesn’t find any excuses. That’s the best part about him. Instead of pointing out the mistakes of the team, he takes all on himself.”
Further praising the Indian Captain, Yohan Blake said that he loves how Virat is always supportive of the team, despite the failures. He quoted Vrat saying that the team needs to go back to their drawing board, understand the loopholes, and then come back to the ground.
The video came after Team India’s 227-run defeat against England’s set target of 420-runs in the opening Chennai Test match on Tuesday. The 31-year-old double Olympic gold medallist (Yohan Blake) is a big cricket fan and got excited after the Men in blue’s defeat in the first Test against the Englishmen. After the exciting match, in his video, he has analysed the test match and praised the players for an exciting game. He praised the Team England for their eye-catching win. He mentioned Joe Root and Jimmy Anderson for proving their mettle and showing a brilliant game.
Further speaking about his love for this sport, this second fastest man on Earth also praised the spirit of this game and expressed his fondness for Test Cricket. As a kid, this sportsman used to play cricket in Jamaica as a fast bowler. He is a friend of other Jamaican cricketers such as Chris Gayle.
Yohan Blake also spoke about how excited he is about the next test match between India and England. He said he’s excited because the second test would be interesting, as looking at the stats, India was 1-0 in Australia and the reverse has happened now. He seemed all geared up for the next match.
