In the recent fold of events in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe, the Maharashtra Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh has said that Bollywood filmmaker and director Mahesh Bhatt will be summoned by the Mumbai Police for interrogation about the case.
Anil Deshmukh emphasized on the fact that Mahesh Bhatt will have to testify before the police following the investigation being done in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe, the possible reasons for the actor’s suicide. The step has been taken following the aggressive statements released by actor Kangana Ranaut in her interview on national news channel Republic TV. After the interview, the Maharashtra state government held Mahesh Bhatt and others, as claimed by Kangana Ranaut, accountable in causing stress and depression to Sushant Singh Rajput by intimidating with their upper hand in the Indian film industry.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. Since then there have been several theories and accusations on different people from the film industry have been made by people related to Sushant and otherwise. Sushant’s sudden dismiss left the industry in a state of shock and fans devasted. Some are yet finding it difficult to make terms with the fact that the actor is no more among us.
The fans also conducted an online protest trending #Candle4SSR wherein celebrities like Ankita Lokhande, Shekhar Suman, Kangana Ranaut etc. participated and sought justice for actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Later on Wednesday, former Union Cabinet Minister Dr Subramanian Swamy wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi seeking a push for the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Also, the infamous advocate and political columnist, Ishkaran explained why a CBI investigation is needed in this case by sharing a video on his Twitter handle.
The actor was last seen in Dil Bechara, a recent release on Disney Hoststar, also featuring Sanjana Sanghi in the lead.
