The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has registered a case in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case that has been constantly highlighted in the media ever since the actor passed away in June 2020.
Almost after a week when the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took after the case on the judgment passed by the Supreme Court, new shreds of evidence and facts have been reported. Following the row, the recent updates in the investigation suggest that there was the active involvement of drugs. Rhea Chakraborty who is also a prime accused of the case has been involved in the case registered by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) following her WhatsApp messages with several people.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) who has been probing the case for a while now, wrote to Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday, that in their probe the ED has discovered that drugs were supplied to Rhea and Sushant. These activities have been traced from November 2019 to May 2020. The WhatsApp conversations clearly indicate that Rhea was in regular touch with drug dealers. And even in times of Corona and a country-wide lockdown, she had her sources for timely arranging the required drugs for her.
The reported WhatsApp chats have been done between Rhea and several others including hotelier Gaurav Arya, Jaya Saha, and Sushant’s house help Samuel Miranda who was also present in the house when reportedly Sushant ended his life in his Bandra Flat. Among the WhatsApp chats, the one with Samuel Miranda also involves taking Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty’s name. Another chat with Jaya Saha reveals that drugs have also been supplied to Waterstone Resort, where Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea stayed for over two months after they returned from a trip to Europe.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has taken several twists and turns. From initially being called a suicide out of depression and frustrations created by the film industry to call it a struggle between the nepotism and outsider debate, to involving ED for the financial angel, to now drugs being involved. Only further investigation by CBI and NCB will now put in front a clearer picture of the case.
However, on the other hand, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer has clearly denied all the accusation and chats saying that Rhea has never consumed drugs in her lifetime and if a need arises she’s ready to provide her blood samples.
