Experts believe that in time to come, India has the potential of becoming one of the largest producers, manufacturer and exporter of handsets. This can however only be done with the constant push by the Indian government in the sector. Meanwhile, Apple is planning to shift a considerable 20 per cent of its smartphone production from China to India. Piyush Goyal recently tweeted saying this move by Apple is being seen as a significant boost to Make in India.
Apart from Apple, brand LAVA is also considering to shift its production currently being done in China to India.
